Christian Yelich Returns to IL

Adam McCalvy reports the Milwaukee Brewers have placed Christian Yelich on the 10-day Injured List, returning after one game.

Dealing with a lingering back injury, Yelich has missed three weeks of action, going 2-4 in Monday’s 4-3 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Yelich has appeared in 10 games this season, slashing .353/.463/.382 and has yet to hit a home run. A key component to the Brewers offense, Yelich played in 58 games last season, hitting 12 home runs with a .205/.356/.430 slash line.

Expect Tyrone Taylor to return to the big league roster with Yelich out of the rotation. In 15 games this season, Taylor has hit two home runs, with a .323 batting average, .400 OPB, and a .581 slugging percentage. He will bat sixth behind Jackie Bradley Jr in Tuesday’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies. Taylor is priced at $2,200 on FanDuel.

The Brewers are a +132 moneyline underdog against the Philadelphia Phillies on FanDuel Sportsbook in a game with a 7.5 run total.
