Clint Capela Ruled Out Wednesday
Mike Conti reports Clint Capela will miss Wednesday’s matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and the Memphis due to an Achilles injury after playing on the first leg of a back-to-back.
Capela played 29 minutes in the Hawks’ 123-107 win against the New Orleans Pelicans Tuesday, scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and one assist. Playing in 45 games this season, he has averaged 30 minutes, 15 points, 14 rebounds and one assist per game. Capela also leads the league in rebounds per game, averaging one rebound more than Rudy Gobert, who is second.
Onyeka Okongwu is expected to see extended playing time Wednesday. Priced at $4,400 on Fanduel, the rookie has played 29 games, scoring three points, three rebounds and one assist per game. Starting once this season, he played 15 minutes, scoring four points and two rebounds in the Jan 24 129-115 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.
