Colorado Avalanche Games Postponed Through April 20 Due to COVID-19
The Colorado Avalanche will go at least eight days between games as the NHL has postponed their next three games. Colorado added a third player to the COVID protocol list on Friday, which prompted the league to take action. The West division leaders were scheduled to have a two-game set with the Los Angeles Kings on Friday and Sunday, followed by a Tuesday meeting with the St. Louis Blues. Colorado’s practice facility will be closed until at least Wednesday, depending on how testing goes over the next few days.
Colorado has been the hottest team in the NHL of late, winning four straight and going 9-1 in their past ten games. They have opened up a four-point lead over the second-place Vegas Golden Knights, but Vegas does have one game in hand.
Over at the FanDuel Sportsbook, Colorado is a solid favorite to win the division at -250. They are also the favorite to finish the season with the most points in the league at +115, and their 4-to-1 odds to win the Stanley Cup are the thinnest in the NHL.
