Giants 3B Evan Longoria Not in the Lineup in First Game of Doubleheader

The San Francisco Giants have released their lineup for the first game of their doubleheader with the Rockies. Not listed is third baseman, Evan Longoria. Jason Vosler will instead get the start, with Longoria expected to be back in the lineup for the nightcap.

The 14-year veteran is off to a decent start this season as he’s hitting .275 with a .390 OBP and .522 slugging percentage. He’s also chipped in with four home runs and driven in 12 runs.

Longoria has been part of a Giants resurgence this season that has gotten off to a 17-11 start and a half-game lead over the Dodgers by a half-game in the NL West.

San Francisco will be a +110 underdog in the first game, with Aaron Sanchez taking on German Marquee for Colorado. Yet, they’re as high as a -160 favorite for the second game, with Alex Wood taking on Ryan Castellani for Colorado.
